The Dark Cell

This parallel to solitary confinement would consist of one to a dozen prisoners chained up in a ten by ten foot space excavated fifteen feet into the hillside. Wearing only their underwear, given only one meal of bread and water a day, prisoners could spend weeks in this cell.
